KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 12: District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today inaugurated the Kupwara T20 Champions Trophy 2018 at Sports Stadium Galizoo here.
The tournament is being played with the underlying theme of ‘Sports for Peace and Development’ under Khelo India scheme.
SSP Kupwara, Shriram Ambarkar, CEO, M. S. War, Manager Lead Bank Kupwara, District Information Officer, Aijaz Hussain Malik and a huge gathering of sports enthusiasts were present on the occasion.
The DDC said that sports are as important as education for all-round personality development.
He appreciated District Youth Services and Sports Department for organizing such events on sustained basis towards youth engagement and called for all stakeholders including banks to contribute towards promotion and encouragement of sports activities in the district under Corporate Social Responsibility.
