SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 5: Baseer Ahmed Khan, the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir met Governor Satya Pal Malik at Rajbhavan here today.

Khan briefed Governor about certain important issues relating to internal security management and implementation of important development programmes.

He also discussed with Governor matters relating to the to-date status of land acquisition for roads and other major projects, ongoing preparations for conducting elections to Panchayats and Urban Local Bodies and preparedness of the government machinery for dealing with any flood like situation in the Valley.

Governor advised Khan to ensure prompt delivery of public services and time bound implementation of all the Central and State Government development schemes on the ground. He directed Divisional Commissioner to strengthen public grievance redressal mechanism at the Divisional and District headquarters with robust follow up.
