Janmashtmia celebrated in Veerwan colony Baramulla
Baramulla: Janmashtami, festival to commemorate the birth anniversary of Krishna, was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety in Veerwan pandit colony in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The devotees took out Kirshna Julla rally and chanted hymns praising Lord Kirshna.
“Kashmiri pundits celebrate Janmashtami with religious fervour and every year we all panidt families in the colony make sure to pay obeisance at the temple and took out Krishna jullay,” a devotee Avtar Kirsan said.
Children draped in in colourful attires as Krishna and Radha were chanting hymns.
The devotees prayed for peace and prosperity for state on this occasion.
