Pulwama, Sep 3: Government forces in the wee hours of Monday launched a massive Cordon and search operation in several villages of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports said Special Operation Group SOG, 55 RR, CRPF and J&K police launched a manhunt to trace out the militants in Murran, Mitregam, Rahmoo, Shengerpora, Goosu, Kamraezpura ,Bellow, Kachipora.

All the entry and exit points of the said villages were sealed and door to door searches were launched.

Moreover, reports said stone pelting incidents were also reported from few villages.

The move came close on the heels of recent abductions of the relatives of police men in the four districts of South Kashmir.

The operation was underway when this report was being filled.
