DC Jammu reviews preparedness for implementation of JKREGP
JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 01: Deputy Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar today reviewed the preparedness for implementation of newly launched Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) scheme here at a meeting of concerned officers.
In the meeting, the DC was briefed about the new credit linked subsidy programme JKREGP launched by the State Government to generate employment opportunities in rural area of the state through setting up of new self-employment ventures/projects/village industries enterprises.
The scheme is meant for aspiring entrepreneurs in the age group of 18 to 40 years and with 10th pass & above qualification.
The scheme offers a Bank credit of 95% of the total project cost after deducting 35% of margin money (subsidy) for all categories and 5% contribution from beneficiaries.
The Deputy Commissioner called for giving wide publicity to the scheme by putting up the offices of flexes/banner at prominent places and Block Development Offices. He also directed the Zonal Organizer JK Bank and JKGB to hold awareness camps to create awareness among the targeted populace.
