Sinks Sports Club beats Kandi XI by 3 wickets

Baramulla: In the ongoing Doungdara Super League T20 cricket tournament, Sinks Sports Club defeated Kandi XI by three wickets to qualify next stage on Friday.

After winning the toss Kandi Eleven decided to bat first, and were bundled out for just 98 runs in allotted twenty overs.

After decent start of 45 runs for 2 wickets, Hameed scored 18 runs and Waseem scored 10 runs of 10 and 16 balls respectively in the power play.

Kandi XI’s batsmen couldn’t withstand the classical leg spin of under nineteen Shahid Lone. Izhar piled 21 runs and remained the top scorer for Kandi XI. Shahid lone was the man to match, he virtually made batsmen to dance by his outstanding leg spin with decent variations.

Shahid, Lateef and Bilal took 5, 2,and 2 wickets respectively. In response Aabid Gani’s well compiled 38 runs, and quick fire 15 from jahangir lone scored 14 runs in first over itself.

Shabeer Rather’s sensible and responsible knock of 12 runs from took Sink Sports Club to very comfortable win in just 13 overs.

Showket scalped 3 wickets and Izhar two wickets for Kandi Eleven. Shahid Lone was declared man of the match for his five wicket haul.
