Kashmir Inc hits streets in support of Article 35 A

Srinagar, August 29:  Kashmir Inc as part of its ongoing campaign against petitions challenging state subject law in Supreme Court of India, Wednesday took out a protest march from Ghanta Ghar to Press Enclave here demanding immediate dismissal of the case.

Shouting slogans in support of Article 35 –A, hundreds of traders belonging to different trade bodies this afternoon took out a protest march from Ghanta Ghar Lal Chowk to Press Enclave against challenging constitutional status of the state in Supreme Court.

Protesting traders warned the centre of massive people uprising if the Act was scrapped or tinkered with.

Talking to reporters, Chairman Kashmir Economic Alliance (KEA) who led the rally, said Kashmir valley will erupt in protests in case the apex court do away with Article 35-A.

“We respect judiciary and hope Supreme Court of India will dismiss the petition which has become a cause of headache for people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
