LAHDC Polls: Polling material dispatched to 210 polling stations

KARGIL, AUGUST, 26: The polling materials for 210 polling stations was today distributed among the polling staff from Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, Bimathang for the smooth conduct of the 4th General Election to the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil scheduled to be held on 27th of August, 2018 (Monday) across the district.

Observers included Predeep Kumar, Rajesh Sharma, Abdul Rashid War and Bilal Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, (LAHDC) Kargil (Election Authority), Vikas Kundal, Superintendent of Police Kargil, Dr Pawan Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (Election Officer), Sonam Chasjore were present on the occasion.

To ensure smooth and peaceful conduct of distribution of poll materials and despatch of the Polling staff to their respective polling stations, a foolproof security and other arrangements were made by the district administration.

The Observers asked the concerned to ensure free, fair and transparent election.

Meanwhile, all polling parties of 258 polling stations including Sub Division Zanaskar reached to their respective polling stations safely.

Among others, Additional S P Kargil, Arun Gupta, Deputy District Election Officer (Nodal Officer Material) Nargis Bano, Assistant Director Information (Nodal Officer, Election Control Room, Compliant & Grievance Cell) Abdul Ahad Bhat, District Informatics Officer, NIC (Nodal Officer Ballot paper Management) Iftikhar Hussain, ARTO, Nodal Officer Transport Plan Management, Khadim Hussain, Headquarter Assistant to DC, Nodal Officer Polling Personnel, Mohd Shabir, all concerned Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officers, Presiding Officers and other concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
