DDC Budgam takes review of progress under SBM in district

BUDGAM, AUGUST 25: District Development Commissioner Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting to review the progress of work done under the Swachh Bharat Mission (G) in the district.

At the outset, DDC stressed on the concerned to ensure completion of the works within the time bound manner to ensure Budgam as a district achieves ODF status at the earliest.

Stressing on launching of awareness campaign on ODF across the district particularly in rural areas, the DDC urged the concerned to involve students, religious scholars, masajid committees and civil society members for better results of the campaign.

She also stressed on the Geo- Tagging and regular online updation of status of all the SBM related and other Panchayat works.

She said that the concerned should take the works under the mission mode and any lackadaisical attitude from any officer would not be tolerated.

The meeting also held the threadbare discussion on the block wise Panchayat works and all the BDOs were directed to ensure completion of all pendency’s and ongoing developmental works within the stipulated timeframe.

Meanwhile, the concerned officers apprised the meeting that 99.9 per cent works have been completed under the SBM. They informed that 93971 latrine blocks have been provided to the deserved across the district so far.
