   Anti-encroachment drive launched in Pulwama

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20 Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department has retrieved hundreds of kanals of forest land from land grabbers as part of an anti-encroachment drive in Chowan, Romshi Forest Range in Pulwama. The team constituted by the DFO Shopian carried out the drive to remove encroachments from forest lands in the district.

The team dismantled boundary walls and removed the bush wood fencing put up by the encroachers and also dismantled one residential house, one kottha and other walls, which was encroached by locals here. The department is taking all measures to prevent the encroachment on forest land at every cost.
