Malik addresses people at Khankah

Srinagar: On the occasion of the annual Urs of Hazat Amir Kabeer, Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA), popularly known as Shah-e-Hamdan which was observed with religious fervor, Chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik, while addressing the devotees, said that the contributions of Shah-e-Hamdan were immense and that the people of Kashmir was taught the lessons of Tawheed, self-confidence, self-respect and freedom by this Sufi saint.

Praising  Mir Syed Ali Hamdani (RA) as a great spiritual saint, Malik said that Shah-I-Hamadan not only led people on spiritual front but brought a revolution in the economic and social life also. “The great Sufi Saint taught us self- respect and led this nation to an economic freedom. For qualities like these, Alama Iqbal remembered him with the title of “Salar-I-Ajam,’’ Malik added.

Malik , while addressing people at Khankah-e-Maula here in Srinagar condemned the “Innocent Killings, beatings, spree of arrests, looting, vandalizing and terrorizing localities and other colonial acts by India and its Kashmiri stooges” stating that these only confirmed that India was holding Jammu Kashmir by its military might, a press release issued here said.

He also cautioned India against tampering with Article 35 A threatening a ‘full-fledged’ agitation.  “Hereditary state subject law guarantees our right of self-determination and unique national identity and fighting for it is our national duty,” Malik was quoted as saying by the press release.
