Srinagar, August 17: The Court of Principal Session Judge Srinagar on Thursday recorded statement of witness produced by prosecution who were cross examined by counsels for accused in Dalgate blast attack case that left one civilian dead and 2 others injured on 12th July 2017.

A doucket was received by Chowki police Nahru Park through head Constable Aijaz Ahmad about the grenade attack at CRPF party who were posted there for law and order problem which resulted in injury to 2 persons and latter among one of them succumbed to injuries.

During the investigation, one of the accused namely Bashir Ahmad sheikh was arrested on 28/04/2018 for questioning who disclosed about involvement of two more persons namely firdous Ahmad wani and Hamid khan and both of them were also arrested on 30/04/2018.

After receiving the information an FIR under 81/2017 section 302, 307 RPC and 3/4 exp act, was registered in police station Ram Munshi Bagh Srinagar.

During the course of investigation investigating officer went on spot and recorded the statement of witnesses.

Counsels for accused namely Advocate Mohd Abdullah Pandit and Mir Shafakat Hussain cross examined the witness at length and breadth as the witness produced before the court is sighted an eye witness by police, prior to him 3 witnesses were also examined on last hearing.

The next date of hearing is listed on August 30 for prosecution evidence.
