Baramulla: A woman drowned to death in Ferozpore Nallah after slipping into it  in Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday.

Locals said that a young woman  identified as Tazeema Akhtar, wife of Mohammad Ismail Chohan, a resident of Poonch went to drink water from  Ferozpore Nallah this morning in Drang village.

The woman slipped into the river and gushing waters washed her away. However, locals   the locals present on the spot tried their best to save her but didn’t succeed.

The body of the slain woman was later  fished out from the stream and handed over to family for burial. Police has registered a case in this regard.
