Srinagar, Aug 10: Unknown men on Friday tried to snatch the rifle of a Jammu and Kashmir Bank guard in Khrew area of Pampore.
A police official said two masked men attacked J&K Bank branch Khrew guard in order to snatch his service rifle.
“The alert guard resisted. He was injured in the attack. The injured guard was later shifted to a hospital for treatment,” he said.
Government forces later cordoned off the area and launched a manhunt to nab the attackers, he said.
