Srinagar, August 8: All Tribal Coordination Committee (ATCC) Wednesday alleged that Sambha police has ‘implicated’ Gujjar leader, Talib Hussain on ‘fabricated’ charges to ‘hush-up’ Kathua gang rape and murder case.

Addressing a press conference here, Mohammad Rafiq Blot, General Secretary of Gujjar body said police besides implicating Talib Hussain under frivolous cases has subjected him to immense mental and physical torture in the lockup.

“He was implicated in false cases and then subjected to third degree torture in lockup. Police is doing all this to hush-up Kathua rape and murder case to ensure the accused involved in heinous crime are released,” Blot said.

He claimed that Talib’s health is deteriorating with each passing day with police denying all medical and other basic facilities to him in Sambha police station.

Blot said police implicated Talib Hussain at the behest of BJP leader, Chowdhry Lal Singh to weaken eight years old nomad girls’ brutal rape and murder case which is pending disposal in court.

“He was arrested from Tral area of Pulwama district, I don’t know why. But what made us to feel suspicious about police is his wife’s outlandish statement. There was some dispute between them but what makes her to go against her husband only when he was arrested,” said Blot.

He alleged that  BJP leader, Chowdhry Lal Singh who tries to paint Kathua rape and murder case with communal color is making all out efforts to implicate Talib so that he could not depose statement before the court.
