SRINAGAR, AUGUST 06: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting here to review the arrangements for the “AT HOME” function of 72nd Independence day at SKICC.

The meeting was informed that VVIPs, High profile persons and media persons are invited for “AT HOME” function of 72nd Independence Day at SKICC.

Reviewing the security arrangements, the Divisional Commissioner asked for sensitization of foolproof security in and around the venue. The Traffic department was directed to identify space for parking of vehicles near the venues, three separate entries into the venue and ensure proper route plan during the event.

Other arrangements which were discussed threadbare include arrangement of proper seating, installation of CCTV cameras, barricading, PAS, deployment of Additional Gensets, Additional Water tankers, fire tenders, mobile toilets, sanitation in and around the venue, entry passes, police band, media management, cleanliness around the Dal Lake embankments and other arrangements.

JKSRTC were directed to deploy High-end vehicles besides Garages department were directed to keep 30 vehicles available for the function.

He directed DC Srinagar to supervise this event and deploy magistracy and liaison officers from the concerned departments to the venue.

He further called for close coordination among the concerned Departments for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the “AT HOME” function of 72nd Independence Day at SKICC.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Commissioner SMC, Joint Director Information (Headquarters), Joint Director Information (Kashmir) Superintending Engineers R&B, RTO Kashmir, SSP Traffic, SP Security, Chief Engineer PDD, Assistant Director Information, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE I&FC,SRTC, Assistant Commissioner, Officers Garages, Hospitality & Protocol, SKICC, LAWDA and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
