Mammoth record scripted in T20 cricket tournament at GDC Anantnag

Anantnag, August 04: Gousia Pahroo scored a mammoth score of 213 runs in Mirza Galib T20 cricket tournament at Government Degree College Boys Anantnag against Shining star Hanjan and defeated them with a margin of 40 runs.

Batting first Gousia Pahroo started their innings with a speedy flow providing a better platform for other batsmen opening batsman of Gousia Pahroo.

Sajad Ahmad scored 36 runs, while as Rahish smashed 109 runs who came to bat at number 3 for his team, he smashed 9 Sixes and 8 fours in his innings proving his fluent batting elegance.

Fans cheered as Gousia Pahroo scored 213 runs with its 3 wickets falling down in allotted 20 overs.

While as depleted and sapped the shining star Hanjan faltered miserably in all departments of game as they were just outclassed in what turned out to be their biggest defeat.

Shining Star Hanjan, while chasing the huge target of 213 runs was bowled out at a paltry score of 173 runs.

Sameer from shining Star Hanjan scored 49 runs for his team, while as Aadil and zubair scored 21 runs for each.

In the first ten overs of second innings, Shining Star Hanjan’s batting was quite impressive when they geared up their batting, but falling of their wickets brought them to defensive position.

Shining Star scored 173 runs and lost the competition by 40 runs. Rahish was awarded Man of the match for his brilliant knock of 109 runs in 41 balls.
