Subina Gul, an Artist from Srinagar, who has completed her master’s degree in painting from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi and conducted a day long art workshop with special children of Modern High School for deaf and dumb in Solina Srinagar under title ‘Challenging performance art and creativity’.
According to her it was exciting for children to participate in an art activity that gave them some space to express themselves. “The workshop also boosted my confidence to organize more such activities with children who I think need such workshops,” Subina said adding that “we don’t have art classes in schools which I think is a problem, unless our education system makes some positive efforts we- the artists need to volunteer to organize and conduct art workshops with children.
Subina Gul has been proactive in following her passion and her works have been exhibited in various exhibitions across India. She has a deep desire to reach out to children of different schools and work with them and engage them in different art activities.
