Srinagar, Jul 28: The youth who had snatched a 12-bore rifle from a bank guard in Shopian district of south Kashmir yesterday surrendered before the police on Saturday.
A police official said that Junaid Hameed Ganie, a resident of Chek Samshipora Shopian, surrendered with the snatched rifle at police station Shopian.
On Friday afternoon, Ganie had snatched the rifle from a bank guard posted at J&K Bank’s main branch in Shopian town.
