Srinagar, Jul 28: A youth who had been missing since July 10 was found dead in a power canal in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Saturday, police said.
An official said that the body of Shakeel Ahmad Awan (24) was recovered from power canal of Upper Sindh project, barely three miles from his home at Panzin.
The official said that the body of Awan was found floating around 10 am today by the locals, who informed the police.
The body was kept in Sub-District Hospital Kangan for identification and later the parents of the deceased identified it.
