DDC Anantnag reviews progress under CAPEX Budget

ANANTNAG, JULY 28: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial achievements of the departments under District CAPEX Budget and Centrally Sponsored Schemes upto 20thJuly, 2018.

The DDC took sector wise review of projects undertaken by different departments/agencies funded under District CAPEX Budget allocation, State plan and other centrally sponsored schemes. He reviewed the schemes of Rural Development Department, Irrigation and Flood Control, R&B, PMGSY, Health, PDD, Animal Husbandry, Education, Youth Services & Sports, PHE, Sheep and Animal Husbandry etc. He also stressed on optimal utilization of the funds for better results.

An allocation of Rs.199.8 crore has been sanctioned for the district under CAPEX Budget 2018. The meeting was informed about the progress achieved in various sectors during the previous financial year and told that more than 394.50 kms of roads had been macadamized in the district; 13 PHE Schemes, 3 Minor Irrigation Schemes, 7 R&B Schemes and 5 Bridges have been completed and commissioned. The DDC directed the Engineers and officers about various centrally sponsored and all India flagship Schemes being made to access all available resources from the funding agencies and also to complete the works within the stipulated time frame.

Under R&B, PHE, Irrigation, Flood Control, Urban Development & PMGSY sectors the major projects under Up-gradation includes: Mattan Akura Poshkeri road upto Hugam Nambal, Seer Hapatnar Ashmuqam road, Improvement / upgradation of Brakpora -Kanganhal -Chattergul road, Up-grdation of Larkipora ZaldooraLisser road Km 1 to 11, Verinag- Kapran road , construction of road along old Brengi Canal, construction of 4 x33 m plate girder bridge on ADV road Km 9th at Larkipora, Upgradation of Mattan Achabal road 5.50M, Regional Water Supply Scheme Dachnipora, Regional Water Supply Scheme Shangus Nowgam, Regional Water Supply Scheme Watnard, DehgamBrengi Canal, Modernization of Irrigation Distributary System on left side of Lidder Nallah, Darkhan Wohan-II Canal, Priority works on River Jhelum, Shopping Complex at OLD SRTC Yard Anantnag, Multilevel Car parking facility at Janglat Mandi, Solid Waste Management Treatment Plant at Uranhall, WSS RambirporaKehribal, WSS Regional TantrayporaSiligam, HLD from Chechkoot to Nanil Stage U, Dessu to Lehenwan (Marganpass) Stage U.

Detailed discussions were held on various issues related to effective implementation of vital schemes in the district. The DDC directed the concerned officers to mobilise all the sources for effective and timely completion of developmental projects.

The DDC directed the concerned Executing Agencies to speed up the construction work on various Mega Projects including government Medical College, Dailgam, Anantnag, Multi-level car parking at Janglatmandi, Trauma Hospital, STP, Uranhall, Bijbehara, and Shopping Complex at old SRTC yard. He emphasized upon the officers to ensure accountability and timely completion of all projects.

He also asked for the reconciliation among intending departments and executing agencies. He directed forest department to carry out fencing works in collaboration with Rural Development Department under convergence mode. While as line departments were asked to come up with proposals under convergence mode.

The DDC directed ADDC to inspect the temporary restoration works executive by Irrigation & Flood Control, PHE, which were damaged due to heavy rains from June 28 to July 05, 2018.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, ADC, CEOs of PDA, VDA, KDA, SE PDD, CPO, CMO, Anantnag, CEO, CAHO, Executive Engineers of R&B Division, Anantnag, Vailo, Qazigund, Exen PHE, Bijbehara, Qazigund and other district officers of various departments including Engineers of Irrigation & Flood Control.
