Comm Secy reviews functioning of FCS&CA at Baramulla

BARAMULLA, JULY 28: Commissioner Secretary Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) department Dr Abdul Rasheed accompanied by Director FCS&CA Nissar Ahmad Wani today convened a meeting of officials in Baramulla to review the working of FCS&CA department and availability of essential commodities in the district.

Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Baramulla Iram Aziz, TSOs and various other functionaries attended the meeting.

On the occasion, Commissioner Secretary took a comprehensive review wherein he was briefed about the public distribution mechanism by the Assistant Director. He stressed for AADHAR enrolment of every consumer with the concerned system and directs for not issuing the ration supply without the same. He highlighted the significance of the process and said that it will streamline the public distribution system adding that the consumers will be able to avail the food supply at other depots also.

Moreover, he instructed the officials to work with dedication and provide tour diaries to the Assistant Director and Director regularly. Dr Rasheed directed the concerned to ensure an adequate supply of commodities at every centre and exhorted for considering public convenience on priority.

Later, the Commissioner Secretary inspected Food Corporation of India (FCI) centre and other depots to review the distribution process wherein he interacted and inquired from the people about the same.
