DLTFC Kargil Approves 401 Cases under PMEGP

KARGIL, JULY 23: Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil, Vikas Kundal today convened a meeting of District Level Task Force (DLTFC) here at NIC, Kargil.

The DLTFC approved 401 cases under Prime Ministers Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).

During the meeting, Assistant Director/Nodal Officer PMEGP J&K Anil Kumar Sharma, General Manager DIC Mohammad Taqi, LDM Kargil Rajesh Yadav and Members of KVIC, KVIB, SC/ST, ITI, BDO Kargil were present.

Convener DLTFC GM DIC informed the meeting that 501 cases under PMEGP were placed before today’s DLTFC out of which 401 cases were approved.  Out of 401, 257 cases were of KVIC, 47 of KVIB and 97 of DIC.

Addressing the meeting, the DC Kargil stressed upon the members of DLTFC to aware the general masses about PMEGP so that the maximum unemployed youth of the District Kargil is benefitted.

DC Kargil emphasised on bringing transparency while implementing the Schemes. He instructed the Bank authorities to speed up the process of sanctioning of loans so that the necessary EDP training is imparted to the beneficiaries at the earliest.

DC Kargil underscored the need for introducing Cluster formation for the activities like Pottery, Carpentry, Making of Copper utensils, Manufacturing of Bats, Carpet Weaving. He stressed upon GM, DIC to prepare a detailed project report in this regard and submit it to the same concerned quarters for accord of necessary action.

Emphasising the need for boasting of Apricot industry in the district, Kundal said that Apricot sector has a huge potential in the District which needs to be given special focus by introducing latest techniques and need of the hour is to formulate a comprehensive plan in this regard.
