Sopore: Police in Sopore have solved a burglary case by arresting the accused involved in the crime and have recovered the stolen property.

A police spokesman in a statement said that one Nayeem Ahmad Shah son of Mehraj ud din Shah resident of Dangiwacha approached Police Station Dangiwacha with a written complaint stating that during intervening night of 12/13 of June 2018 some unknown person/persons broke into his shop and stole mobile phones and cash.

On receipt of the complaint, a case FIR number 70/2018 under section 457/380 RPC was registered in Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation was started.

During the course of investigation a special team under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad was constituted which zeroed in on one suspect namely Javaid Ahmad Ahanger son of Ali Mohammad Ahanger resident of Jodinambal Braman Panzlla Rafiabad.

On questioning, the suspect confessed that he has committed the crime and on his disclosure 41 mobile phones of different companies and cash of rupees 45,200 was recovered from his house in Jodinambal Braman Panzlla Rafiabad, said the statement.

Further investigation of the case is going on, said the statement, adding more arrests and recoveries are expected.
