Srinagar, July 22: Director General of Police Dr. S.P. Vaid visited Pahalgam today and took stock of security and communication arrangements put in for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
DGP was accompanied by Inspector General of Police Shri S.P. Pani during the visit. The DGP was received by senior police officers deployed for yatra and jurisdictional officers.
Dr. Vaid visited the Joint Police Control Room and the wireless communications centre which has been established for Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. He took stock of the fast communication system placed in for Shri Amarnath Ji yatra at Pahalgam.
While interacting with the officers and jawans, the DGP emphasized on the working with synergy with all the departments and deployed forces. DGP also visited Police Station Pahalgam.
Vaid was briefed by the senior officers about the security measures taken for smooth and peaceful yatra. He interacted with the officers and jawans and appreciated their dedication.
