DC Anantnag reviews Independence Day-2018 arrangements

ANANTNAG, JULY 21: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, today chaired a meeting of district officers and various security agencies to review the preparedness for Independence Day-2018 celebrations.

It was given out that the main function of the Day shall be held at Government Degree College (Boys), Khanabal. Whereas, similar functions would be held at sub-divisions of Bijbehara, Doru, Kokernag, Pahalgam and all Tehsil headquarters.

The meeting was informed that contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, Auxiliary Police, Fire & Emergency Services, NCC, students of government and private schools will participate in the march past parade.

Following the instructions issued by the government, the DC directed all the district heads to ensure the participation of the staff on full dress rehearsal function and on the Independence Day function.

Preparation and consolidation of the main venue ground, rostrum, seating arrangements, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water/tanker service, barricading of venue, medical aid camp, availability of ambulance, deployment of fire tenders and sanitation measures were discussed threadbare in the meeting.

ADDC Anantnag was nominated as nodal officer to monitor the preparedness activities regarding the Independence Day celebrations.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Principal Degree College (Boys), Khanabal Anantnag, ADC, Anantnag, Additional SP Anantnag, SDMs of Doru, Kokernag, Bijbehara, CEO, SE PDD, Exens of R&B, PHE, PDD, CEO Kokernag Development Authority, Officers from various security agencies including Police, CRPF, Tehsildars of Anantnag, Shangus, Mattan, Bijbehara, and other concerned.
