DDC Kulgam for collective efforts to preserve environment

KULGAM, JULY 19: A daylong seminar was organized by Forest department in collaboration with education department under GO Green-Go Kulgam project at Government Girls Model Higher Secondary School Kulgam.

DDC Kulgam Dr Shameem Ahmad Wani was chief guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, DDC asked for   collective efforts of all stakeholders for perseverance of environment.

While appreciating the organisers for organizing the programme, he asked for organizing more programs in other parts of the district. DDC also inaugurated an herbal garden and a fish pond in the premises of School.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Director Education highlighted the present grim scenario of environment and urged the students to play proactive role for achieving sustainable environment and to plant more plants in their vicinity.

While speaking on the occasion, DFO Kulgam said that Forest department has planted more than 20 thousand plants in the district under under the project Go Green and further steps are afoot to cover uncovered areas under the project.

Girl Students who were present on the occasion presented different Plays and skits pertaining to awareness messages for perseverance of environment.

Later DDC distributed awards and certificates among girl students who have shown excellent performances in different activities.
