Advisors to hear public grievances at Srinagar, Jammu

 SRINAGAR, JULY 18: The public delegations, deputations, organizations and individuals, who want to personally bring their grievances and demands into the notice of the Government can meet the three Advisors to the Governor at Srinagar and Jammu every week.

The Advisors would be hearing the grievances personally and also hold review meetings to address issues and grievances which get escalated to the Governor’s Secretariat.

Apart from public interactions, the Advisors shall also take stock of the grievances pertaining to their departments and review outcome-based disposal of the complaints with the Nodal Officers of the departments under their control.

As per the instructions issued by the Governor N N Vohra in this regard, Advisor to Governor B B Vyas shall hear public grievances from 10 am to 12 noon every Monday at JK Governor’s Grievance Cell at Church Lane, Sonwar, Srinagar and from 10 am to 12 noon at Banquet Hall Jammu every Friday.

Advisor to the Governor, Khurshid Ahmad Ganai shall hear public grievances from 10 am to 12 noon every Thursday at JK Governor’s Grievance Cell at Church Lane, Sonwar, Srinagar and from 10 am to 12 noon at Banquet Hall Jammu every Monday.

Advisor to the Governor, K Vijay Kumar shall hear public grievances from 10 am to 12 noon every Wednesday at JK Governor’s Grievance Cell at Church Lane, Sonwar, Srinagar.

Individual citizens, delegations, deputations and civil society organizations both at Jammu and Srinagar can reach the JK Governor’s Grievance Cell at Church Lane, Sonwar, Srinagar and Banquet Hall Jammu on specified weekdays and time to register their grievances and for the redressal of the same in a time bound manner.

Besides this, the grievances can also be registered through online portal of Jammu & Kashmir Governor’s Grievance Cell i.e,  http://www.jkgrievance.in, and through social media platforms including Facebook by visiting https://www.facebook.com/jandkgrievance and by posting the grievances on the official Twitter account https://twitter.com/jkgrievance.

The Jammu & Kashmir Governor’s Grievance Cell has also provided telephone numbers in both the cities on which the complaints can be registered.

For Srinagar, the telephone numbers are 0194-2502596, 2502594, 2500750, 2502593, 2502910, 2502911, 2500693 and 2502591 (FAX).

While as, the telephone numbers to file the complaints in Jammu are 0191-2560110, 2560109, 2560276, 2560265, 2560266 and 2566182 (FAX).

Pertinently, since the imposition of Governor’s Rule, from 20th June till 16th July, 2018, the Grievance Cell received 5,242 complaints/grievances, of which 4,271 have been disposed of/forwarded to the concerned quarters for their timely redressal; and 1,591 complaints/grievances are under process. During this period, Governor’s Secretariat received 1,733 complaints/grievances, of which 1,526 complaints have been disposed of /forwarded to the concerned quarters and 92 are under process.
