Ganderbal Jul 17: A two-day District Ganderbal Karate Championship kick started today at Vijay memorial educational institute here.
Sanjay Verma President of Ganderbal Karate association inaugurated the championship.
On the first day, the competitions were held for Sub-Junior and Junior boys and Girls categories .Players of 12 schools and 2 clubs fought it out today.
Vijay memorial educational institute, new wave public, RP school Gulistan public school topped the medal tally respectively.
The Championship witnessing an overwhelming support from Karate fans from all over Kashmir. Meanwhile, hundreds of spectators thronged to the venue.
Cadet and senior category competitions will be held on the second day of the competition.
300 boys and girls participated in the Championship have took part in the competition so far.
