DDC Anantnag convenes meeting regarding youth outreach

ANANTNAG, JULY 17: As per the directions of Advisor to Governor, the District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik today chaired a meeting of different departments directly or indirectly involved in various youth activities like in sports, cultural, art & other civic action programmes.

In this regard a District Level Task Force Committee has been constituted to engage youth in various activities.

The ADDC, Anantnag, Reyaz Ahmad Sofi has been nominated as Nodal officer of District Level Task Force Committee to monitor the youth activities in different fields like skill development, sports, art and cultural, participation of sports festivals, civic action programmes conducted by J&K police, CRPF, Army & other related activities.

The DDC, directed the Principal Govt. Degree College (Boys) Anantnag, ACD, Anantnag, CO, CRPF, CEO, district Coordinator NYK, District Youth Service & Sports officer, DPO, Forest officer, Sports Council officer, Floriculture officer, representative of 1st Sector RR High ground &other line departments were directed to submit their Action Plan of youth engagement for next 06 months.

The DDC also stressed upon all the officers also to submit list of infrastructure, repairs and renovation of playgrounds, involvement of students of all 45 Higher Secondary Schools and non-school going youth in various activities like seminars, symposiums, dramas, plays, painting competitions, skill development training by ITI, distribution of sports kits, organizing outside tours, civic action programmes like cricket, volleyball, kabbadi, marathons, adventure tourism, group discussions, sports melas, cultural shows, and also to provide musical instruments, costumes & sports uniforms for the youth.

The DDC also directed ACD & DPO to involve their field functionaries for sporting youth at village level. NYK was directed to come up with an action plan of all 235 youth clubs for their involvement in the above said activities besides their own departmental activities of youth organizing camps, outside valley tours etc.
