BANDIPORA, JULY 14: Advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar today visited Bandipora to review the security and developmental scenario in the district. The Advisor was accompanied by Director General of police Dr S P Vaid.
During the visit, the Advisor had a meeting with concerned officers of the district to get the appraisal about the developmental scenario of the district.
DIG North Kashmir Dr Sunil Kumar, District Development Commissioner Bandipora Dr Shahid Iqbal Chaudhary, SSP Bandipora Sheikh Zulfikar Azad and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
While briefing the Advisor, the DDC made a detailed presentation about developmental issues in the district. He also highlighted the urgent requirements in health sector and public infrastructure.
Specific developmental issues of Hajin including roads and drainage projects were also highlighted apart from improvement of power supply in Gurez.
The Advisor also reviewed the overall law and order situation and the infrastructural development of police establishments in the district. The SSP briefed about requirements of infrastructure, mobility and accommodation for the police personnel.
