Security has been tightened in the valley, including in parts of Pulwama district, as separatists observed a strike today on the second death anniversary of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani. Besides Srinagar downtown, restrictions were imposed in Pulwama and Tral townships.

Yesterday, militants hurled a grenade towards a CRPF camp in Kakapora area of the district. A police official said no casualty was reported due to the explosion.
