Srinagar, Jun 29: A 29-year-old woman was found hanging in her room at her in-law’s place at Mehjoor Nagar of Srinagar, police said today.
The woman, according to a relative who identified himself as her uncle, was married for past six years and was mother to a four-year-old son.
Station House Officer (SHO) Sadder Police Station Raees Ahmad said the victim, a Sikh woman, was found hanging from a fan on Thursday.
Her body has been sent for autopsy. “We are investigating the death under section 144 CrPc,” he said.
