DDC Poonch reviews progress on construction of Bunkers, Seema Bhawans

POONCH, JUNE 29: District Development Commissioner Poonch Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting to review the pace of progress on the construction of bunkers and Seema Bhawans along the LoC.

The revenue officials informed DDC that most of the sites/ locations for construction of bunkers have been handed over to R&B department and the process has been set in for making entries of these identified sites in revenue record.

The DDC directed the concerned to complete the process of identification of land and hand over locations for Seema  Bhawans within 10 days. He impressed that land for these bhawans shall be out of line of fire where classrooms, first aid centres etc could also be established during emergency hours.

He further directed the concerned revenue officials to complete the exercise of handing over of locations for construction of pending community and individual bunkers. He impressed that community bunkers should be constructed in safer zones near colleges, schools, hospitals, and police posts which are easily accessible to people during ceasefire violations.

The meeting was attended by ACR B A Lone, CPO Seva Ram Bhagat, ExEn R&B Surinder Singh, Tehsildars Haveli, Mandi, Mankote, Balakote and Mendhar besides concerned officers from the district administration.
