SRINAGAR, JUNE 28: Secretary Tourism Rigzin Samphel reviewed the arrangements for the annual Shri Amarnathji Yatra at various base camps set up by the department of tourism.
The Secretary on Wednesday visited Walnut Factory at Qazigund where J&K Tourism department has set up facilities for the Yatris.
On Thursday, the Secretary visited base camps set up by department of tourism at Manigam and Shadipora to oversee the arrangements put in place for the assistance of the Amarnath pilgrims.
At these base camps, the officials of the tourism department are providing all kind of information to the yatris and assisting them in their forward journeys.
Engineering Wing and other employees of the department of Tourism accompanied Secretary Tourism who briefed him about the works being undertaken for helping the pilgrims.
Secretary Tourism directed the officials of tourism department to work with zeal for smooth and safe conduct of the Yatra.
