Thousands participate in LeT commander’s funeral
Anantnag: Thousands of people took part in the last rites of Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Shakoor Ahmad Dar at his native village Sopat-Tangpora in Devsar area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district today.
Eyewitnesses said that nearly six funerals were held for the slain at a huge ground.
They said that at least three militants surfaced during the funeral and offered gun-salutes to the slain militant.
Dar was killed along with an associate during a gunfight with the security forces in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district. His third associate was captured alive. A civilian was also killed during the clashes that erupted near the site of the gunfight.
