Youth injured in Srigufara clashes; succumbs
Srinagar, June 24: A youth who was injured critically in government forces action at Nowshera area of Srigufara in Anantnag district of south Kashmir on Friday, succumbed at SKIMS institute on Sunday.
Official sources told GNS that the youth namely Shahid Nazir Hajam of Sirhama village sustained critical bullet injuries in head in forces action during clashes at Srigufwara on Friday.
Shahid succumbed to injuries this afternoon at SKIMS Soura, hospital sources said.
The clashes broke out soon after the encounter broke out in the area on Friday.
The police and CRPF troopers resorted pellet and bullet firing and used teargas shells to disperse the protesters.
Bedsides, Shahid, at least 30 persons suffered injuries in forces action, most of them having received bullet wounds in the forces action.
Pertinently, four militants, civilian and a SOG cop were killed in the encounter.(GNS)
