June: To pay homage to Ct Tanveer Ahmad who was killed yesterday in an attack at Kaendzal, a wreath laying ceremony was held at District Police Lines Anantnag.
Police in a statement said that civil and police officers led by DIG SKR Amit Kunar laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains and paid rich tributes to the slain cop who ‘made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty’.
“Among others, DC Anantnag Mohammad Younis, SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan, CO IR 17, SP Hqrs and other officers and jawans of police presented floral wreaths on the body of the martyr,” the statement said.
