In his condolence message, Hakeem Yaseen has described the killing of Bukhari as highly ‘barbaric and inhuman’ adding that his assassination was the murder of whole humanity and a dirty game to silence the genuine voice of the ‘oppressed people’. “Bukhari was true voice of the innocent people and his contribution in the field of Journalism, Art, culture and socio-political affairs of the state remain unparallel. His service to the humanity will be remembered for ever and his raising of issues of public interest without any fear have shaped up journalism in Kashmir. He would never compromise on principals of true journalism, come what may, which he practiced till his last breath and  proved it by offering supreme martyrdom of his life,” the press release quoted Yaseen as saying.

While paying rich tributes to Late Bukhari, Yaseen further said that he (Bukhari) was an intellectual and epitome of compassion who would always help needy with a smile on his face. “His demise has created a deep void in the socio-political and journalist fraternity which would be difficult to fill, “Hakeem Yaseen added.
