DDC reviews performance of Banks

UDHAMPUR, JUNE 13: – In order to review the performance of all banks in key area of deposits and advances in the district, the District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar convened District Level Review Committee (DLRC) & District Consultative Committee (DCC) meeting, here today.

Threadbare  discussion was  held on issues including  flow of credit to priority sector and weaker sections of society, issuance of KCCs , Bank and sector wise achievements in lending to priority/non priority sector under Annual Credit Plan 2017-18, Bank wise position of deposits/ Advances in the district as on 31-03-2018, review performance of key areas related to deposits and advances, finance to joint liability farming groups of bhoomi heen Kissan, Financial inclusion plan of the district, Number of financial literacy programmes by the rural branches of banks during the quarter, Functioning of financial literacy counseling center, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana,  doubling of farmers income by 2022, Master circular on KCC scheme, Seeding of Aadhar.

During the meeting, the DDC asked the bankers to generate maximum awareness in camps regarding different poverty alleviation and social security schemes of the government, for maximum financial inclusion.

The DDC instructed the bankers to improve CD ratio at par with the national level in the next quarter and fix targets according to the needs of the area concerned so as to achieve optimum results on the ground in a stipulated time frame.

Earlier, LDM B S Negi briefed   about the various banks and their performance and achievement during the financial year 2018-19 in various sectors of the district.

Among others, Chief Planning Officers, Ashok Khajuria, GM DIC, Suram Chand Sharma, AGM RBI, Vikram Dhaanda, AGM NABARD, Manohar Lal and other district officers of various line departments besides large number of bankers were present in the meeting.
