Justice Magrey takes stock of ongoing works at District Court Complex Srinagar

SRINAGAR, JUNE 11-  Senior Judge High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey paid a surprise visit to the District Court Complex Moominabad Srinagar and took stock of the progress of work and other co-related infrastructure issues concerning the said complex.

He was accompanied by Judge High Court of J&K Justice M. K. Hanjura, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Municipal Commissioner Srinagar, Superintendent Engineer R&B; Circle Srinagar/Budgam, Executive Engineer R&B Srinagar, Joint Registrar Judicial High Court of J&K Srinagar and District Floriculture Officer Srinagar.

Justice Magrey who being the Administrative Judge for District Srinagar on spot issued instructions to the R&B officials to wrap up the pending construction issues of the complex within shortest possible time. The officers from the Floriculture were directed to beautify the lawns of the complex on priority.

He also stressed upon the need for proper hygiene and sanitation within the premises of the Court Complex and on spot directed the Municipal Commissioner Srinagar to speed up the progress of work and provide suitable manpower for the upkeep of the Court complex till permanent arrangement is made.

Justice Magrey stressed upon the Judicial Officers to dispose of old cases on priority and directed them that by the end of the year 2018, no case of 10 years old or more should be pending in any Court.

He also instructed the Judicial Officers to be litigant friendly and ensure proper pace is maintained for disposal of family matters, matters pertaining to maintenance and dishonor of cheques.

Justice Magrey who is also the member of e-Courts Committee for the High Court directed the Judicial officers to make maximum use of information technology in their daily court proceedings so that the benefits of the same reach to the general public.
