A unique feature depicting the secular credentials of the Valley was the participation of members from Muslim, Sikh, Kashmiri Pandits and Christian communities in the event. The pious and cordial environment to include Iftaar and offering of Namaz was enjoyed by all wherein everyone prayed for peace and development in Kashmir, said the statement.

The statement further said that the Chinar Corps Commander in his speech stressed upon the significance of holy month of Ramzan and urged everyone to imbibe in themselves the virtues of righteousness, self discipline, empathy, generosity, humility, humanity and harmony, which are the essence of the Holy Quran and stated that these events strengthen goodwill and instil a sense of belonging amongst all.
