Srinagar, Jun 08: A teenager today died due to drowning in a river in Rajouri district.
Incident took place at about 1 PM when the deceased and some of his friends were bathing in Darhali river near Bela Colony.
The deceased has been identified as 15-years-old Umar Iqbal, a resident of Bela Colony.
“The boy’s body was fished out of river and he was rushed to district hospital where he was declared as brought dead, ” said a police official.
His body was later handed over to family for last rites after legal formalities, he added.
