Hundreds visit rare Quranic manuscripts exhibition at TRC

SRINAGAR, JUNE 8: On the 2nd day of Mega exhibition of Rare Quranic Manuscripts and Islamic Art Objects, hundreds of visitors were amazed with the quality and uniqueness of rare objects displayed in the exhibition at TRC Srinagar.

Organised jointly by the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) and the Departments of Libraries, Tourism and Archives, the exhibition will remain open for five days

Among others MoS for Education, Tourism and Culture Shakti Raj Parihar and MLA Bhadarwah Dileep Parihar, Mohd Yousuf Taing, Vijay Dhar, Justice (Rtd) Muzaffar Ahmad Jan, Renowned Photographer Mukhtar Ahmad, Former HoD Library Sciences Kashmir University Prof Sheikh Mohammad Shafi, Prof Rehman Rahi, Gh Nabi Khayal, Prof Farooq Fayaz also visited the exhibition and hailed efforts of JKAACL for organizing such kind of unprecedented exhibition.

The live demonstration of Calligraphy a composite Humdiya/ Naatiya Mushaira was also organized on the side lines of the event.

The Mushaira was presided over by Prof Rehman Rahi, while Prof Mohammad Zaman Azurda, Zareef Ahmad Zareef, Rukhsana Jabeen, Satish Vimal, Sultan Ul Haq Shaheedi, Bashir Arif, Shafaq Sopori, Bashir Charag, Nazir Azad,Syed Saadu Din Saadi, Nazima Manzoor, Nadim Bukhari, Ayub Sabir, Mir Shabir Ahmad and Shabnam Ashaiee  also participated in the Mushaira attended by a large number of people.
