Srinagar, June 8, 2018: Authorities on Friday barred Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani from offering Friday prayers in Hazratbal, a spokesman said.
According to the statement issued to media, the spokesman said that Geelani was stopped after he defied house arrest restrictions. “The police forces outside his residence did not allow him to venture out to march towards Hazratbal,” he said.
Lashing at authorities, Geelani said that “Delhi groomed authorities have unleashed a reign of terror against innocent civilians in state.
Geelani said Kashmiris will continue with their struggle till freedom is achieved and added that instead of facing resistance leaders on political turf, they are being caged against frivolous charges, he added.
