Jammu, Jun 05: An alleged drug-peddler was arrested with 50 grams of heroin here today, police said.
A police party intercepted a car in Gandhinagar area and 50 grams of heroin was seized from one of the passengers during a search, a police officer said.
The man was arrested and a case has been registered, he said.
In another case, two alleged drug smugglers have been arrested with 10 kg poppy in Udhampur district, police said.
The poppy was seized from a Tavera vehicle that was intercepted last night on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Jakhani area of the district, a police officer said.
The accused, Javed Dar and Sameer are residents of the Budgam district, he added.
A case has been registered by the police.
Yesterday, a man was also arrested with 140 kg of poppy in Udhampur.
