“Women face the brunt of turmoil and uncertainty and like elsewhere, women in Kashmir have also faced the grave consequences of turmoil and instability here in Kashmir. The need of the hour is to protect their rights and to give them the safeguards and enabling environment they rightly deserve”, the NC Provincial President said on this occasion.

“National Conference has always persevered to empower women and to defend their rights. It was Madar-e-Meharbaan who pioneered women empowerment in J&K and we continue to be guided by her legacy of trying to give women equal opportunity and representation in every sphere of life. Our Women’s Wing has been empowered for this specific purpose and we are leaving no stone unturned to give women due representation within the organization”, Nasir Aslam Wani said.
