Yasin Malik arrested
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik was arrested by police early Saturday morning.
A JKLF spokesperson in a statement issued here said that police raided the residence of JKLF chairman at Sehri Time and arrested him. He was immediately shifted to police station.
Similarly JKLF vice chairman Showkat Bakhshi was placed under house detention from last evening.
While condemning the arrest of Malik and house detention of Bakshi and others, JKLF spokesman said that repression is showing no letup even during the month of Ramazan.
Meanwhile a JKLF delegation led by Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri managed to reach Fateh-Kadal where it participated in the funeral prayers of Qaiser Amin. While paying rich tributes to the deceased, JKLF delegation expressed solidarity with his bereaved family.
JKLF leaders on the occasion said that crushing to death under military vehicles is a new killing weapon employed by Indian forces against Kashmiris.
