Militants attack PS Kakapora

Srinagar: Militants on Tuesday evening hurled a grenade on Police Station Kakapora in Pulwama.

Reports said that militants hurled at grenade of PS Kakapora and the sentry retaliated by opening fire.

No injuries or casualties were reported, sources said.

Meanwhile, militants last night attacked a police picket guarding a residential house in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, but the attack was repulsed by the alert sentry.

“Residential guard was attacked by terrorists at Thajiwara in Anantnag. The alert sentry retaliated the fire,” a police spokesperson said.

The residential house, sources said belonged to senior PDP leader and former minister and VC Waqaf Board, Peer Hussain.
