Div Com reviews developmental scenario of Shahr-e-Khaas

SRINAGAR, MAY 29: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting to review various developmental issues of Shahri Khas (Old City) besides acquisition process of land and structures for various projects.

The Div Com reviewed issues related to the establishment of a new fire station at Maharaj Gunj, Community Halls at Kawdara, Fateh Kadal and Baba Demb, Aziz Park at Khanyar and other developmental works in Shahri Khas.

The Divisional Commissioner directed Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Superintending Engineer R&B, Commissioner SMC to submit the progress report about these projects to the Divisional Commissioner office within a week time so that steps will be taken to remove any lacunae and expedite the progress.

He also directed the officers to redress every complaint of the Shahri Khas population on the priority basis.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Commissioner SMC, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services, Superintending Engineer R&B, Collector Land Acquisition, Deputy Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner, representatives of local committees of Down Town and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
